I am currently dealing with some heavy personal obligations that have me in a position to “come out” to my Mother.

She made a point to raise us Roman Catholic because it was one of her battles she chose to deliberately instill. While she has since left the Catholic church, she has continued to actively believe in a higher power via a non-denominational church.

She needs to know that I am not taking care of her because I think it will get me to Heaven. She needs to know that I am taking care of her because she is the closest thing to God that exists in my world.
Without her, there is no me.
